Backing up IIS and Windows XP System State


To backup IIS, do the following:

1.) Click on the Start Menu, then choose "Programs" -> "Administrative Tools" -> "Internet Information Services".

2.) Right click on your machine name, and choose "All Tasks" followed by the "Backup/Restore Configuration" menu as shown in the figure.



3.) Click on the "Create Backup" button shown in the figure.



4.) Enter a name for your backup, and press the OK button.

To backup the System State of your machine, do the following:

1.) Click on the Start Menu, then choose "Programs" -> "Accessories" -> "System Tools" -> "Backup"

2.) Choose "Advanced Mode" and then click on the "Backup" tab. Then, click on the "System State" checkbox as shown in the figure.



3.) Choose a backup destination (File or Tape), and then click on the "Start Backup" button.
