Win 7 - sysprep fails

Question

I have logged in as local admin and local account with admin rights. I have also tried with domain admin account. I have lowered the ACL all the way. I also read that there was a limit to the number of times you can sysprep an image, so I created a completely fresh install. Hard drive was blank before installing Windows 7. I believe it is a rights issue but I can't figure out where. As always any help is appreciated.

ok build and capture done,

don't use Sysprep 2, you must use the version that comes with Windows 7.

now, after it was built i logged in as local administrator the pc was removed from the domain already)

i then opened a CMD prompt with Administrator Permissions and browsed to

c:\windows\system32\sysprep\

and then executed

sysprep.exe /quiet /generalize /shutdown /oobe

and got this error

sysprep_error.jpg

is it the same one as you get ?

anyway, try this

kill this process

wmpnscfg.exe or wmpnetwk.exe

and do it again

should work then
