Surface Prestage keeps failing

Question

Any one out there able to prestage surface pro 3.0 and than deploy them? I see many "lab" examples on the web, none works for me. I tried going by using this task sequence, http://tinyurl.com/k2va766 ,

I

No luck for me, seems like the TS is not picking DeploymentType=refresh. When I force it to refresh

Unknown error (Error: 00002651; Source: Unknown)

or

ZTI deployment failed, Return Code = -2147024809 0x80070057

ZTI deployment failed, Return Code = 9809

TIA

when you set the variable DeploymentType=Refresh it works, see the excerpt from the log

deploymenttype refresh.png

Property DeploymentType is now = REFRESH

so that much works at least, the first real error is shown here

Start executing an instruction. Instruction name: Validate.

...

Instruction pointer: 35.FAILURE ( 9809 ): Error - Performing a Refresh to a partition that does not match the current OS partition is not supported. You must perform a NewComputer deployment, aborting

what version of MDT are you using and can you show me a screenshot of the validate step so I can get an idea of how you task sequence is setup

Sorry, I miss read the post, I could not load an image for some reason

in the UEFI Format

_SMSTSMediaType <> OEMMedia

ImageOSVer = >= 6.1

_SMSTSBootUEFI = TRUE

SO your questions solved the problem, if I disable validation It works. This will work for me since we do not so USMT in anyway, however I wonder what the issue is.
