software update issue

Question

Hello

I am having issues with windows updates. We had an issue with it taking up bandwidth so had to remove the Automatic Deployment rule it was applying. The bandwidth has returned back to normal but in software centre users can see the attached. Is there way of removing them from software centre.

Also is there a way to give the user the option to postpone updates rather than force a restart.

Many Thanks for your help

To control Bandwidth you need to implement Maintanence windows for after business hours to do the applying of updates. These windows will also help control unwanted restarts from happening in your business hours.

To remove the updates from deploying simply search for them and remove them from the update group by right clicking them and selecting to "Edit Membership" and uncheck the membership to the deployed group.

When deploying the updates be sure to not select the option to install outside and restart outside of the maintenance window unless you are wanting one of those 2 to occur.
