  1. I have a Run Command Line task named "Completed Successfully" as the last step in my TS that reports that status to my MDT Monitoring. cscript "%deployroot%\scripts\ztidone.wsf"
  2. I renamed the pxeboot.com and pxeboot.n12 in my test environment from the link that SCCMentor provided. I only have Task Sequences deployed as Available and it worked great. A very small but useful change! Of course, Herwin's suggestion also works.
  3. An update for anyone that stumbles across this in the future... I ended up opening a case with Microsoft and they found that it is an existing bug that does not have an ETA on a fix. The state message files were queueing up in the SMS\MP\OUTBOXES\statemsg.box and not sending to the MP. The mpfgdm.log on the SMP had the following errors: **ERROR: Cannot connect to the inbox source, sleep 30 seconds and try again. He had me add the DP computer account to the local admin group on the MP (my Primary Site server) and restart the SMS Executive service. After that everything showed up in the console as expeced. One thing that I failed to mention was the State Migrations that were showing up in the console originally were from an SMP installed on a Secondary Site. That worked fine because the MP role was installed on the same server as the SMP.
  4. Sounds like you have multiple locations that each have their own workstation admin group. We have the same situation. Honestly, your best bet is to use Group Policy. We ended up creating a GPO for each location's workstation OU. If you really wanted to, you can probably use the above script as a base but you would have to create some kind of logic that matches IP/subnet to the group and then adds the group.
  5. Hi Everyone, Yesterday afternoon I installed the State Migration Point role to a Distribution Point that has existed for about 1.5 years. A little while after it finished installing, I ran a task sequence to capture the User State on one of my clients. The task sequence ran fine. However, it never shows up in Assets and Compliance > User State Migration in the console. I can see the .MIG file on the SMP and I can see a successful status in the Deployment monitoring. There are no errors for the SMP component on that Site System. SMSTS.log, SCANSTATEPROGRESS.log, and SCANSTATE.log on the client don't show any errors either. User is connected by both WiFi and Ethernet, if that matters. I ran the same Task Sequence on a test VM in my office (different SMP) and it worked fine and showed up in the console as an "in-place" migration. Can anyone give me an idea of where to begin looking for the cause of this? Or is it something simple that I have missed? Thanks!
  6. That makes sense. I had the deployment evaluation schedule at 15 minutes just for the testing period. I was curious how the evaluation schedule in the deployment settings works in conjunction with the evaluation schedule in the client settings. Does the evaluation schedule in the deployment take precedent over the evaluation schedule from the client settings? I probably have missed it but I have looked and am unable to find anything that explains the relationship, if there is one. Thanks for your response!
  7. Hello everyone, We are using 2012 R2 CU1. I am trying to understand the Configuration Baseline evaluation schedules. I have created a Configuration Baseline that ensures a specific registry value exists and is set to what we want it set to. The Default Client Settings are configured with the default evaluation schedule of every 7 days. I am unable to configure an evaluation schedule in custom Client Settings. Within my Configuration Baseline deployment, I have set a compliance evaluation schedule of every 15 minutes. I can see the Configuration Baseline applied in the client Configurations tab. I can manually click Evaluate to have it run and it does behave as expected. This morning I manually changed the registry entry to something that would put the Configuration Item in a non-compliant state. The Configurations tab shows a Last Evaluation run time of yesterday at 6:08 pm and it is now 1:30 pm the following day. How do these two evaluation schedules (Client Settings vs Deployment) interact? Thanks. John
