Okay that makes a sense. So when I approve updates through the WSUS client, once they have been downloaded will client PC's be presented with those updates?

Because before the last patch night, Microsoft updates were available to servers and desktops without being approved and downloaded. Now, that functionality has been taken away

Hi all
I am new to this forum. I would like to say thank you to everyone that has taken time to provide tutorials and fixes and this has saved me a lot of time!
I have run into an issue with WSUS. In the WSUS Options, every time I change the Update Files setting to ‘Do not store update files locally; computers install from Microsoft Update’ it changes to ‘Store update files locally on the server’ automatically after about 20 minutes. I have tried changing it several times and it keeps reverting back! I am running Update Services Version: 6.3.9600.16384. Please help someone!
Thank you in advance!
Exclude Internet Explorer Upgrades from patches
in Configuration Manager 2012
Posted
Hi all
Firstly, I would like to apologise in advance if I am posting in the wrong section. I plan to roll out Windows updates to Windows 7 machines around the business via SCCM. Previously, when I needed to exclude specific updates I would exclude updates titled 'Internet explorer' but now I am struggling because Internet Explorer upgrades may be contained in the rollup patches? The company are still using IE10 due to compatability issues and we cannot yet upgrade. How do I ensure that machines Internet Explorers do not upgrade whilst rolling out patches?
Many thanks
Mo
