  1. Move SCCM 2012 distribution point server to new hardware

    in System Center Configuration Manager (Current Branch)

    I am relatively new to SCCM and I have been asked to move one of my sites' distribution point to a new server that was installed onsite. They have a Primary Server P01 at head office and several servers acting as distribution points at their various branches. They have now installed a new server at one of the branches and want me to move the SCCM distribution point to the new server. The new server does not have the same name as the current one and as far as I could gather from various forums a backup and restore is not going to work in this case. It seems like they want to use the same site code (So everything still the same, just on new hardware). Is this possible and is there a write up somewhere to guide me please?
