  1. Hello, I have to use a vbs script to update windows drivers (it's an old script with lots of reminiscences that I'm migrating to sccm later). So I use a task sequence to do the job. When I migrate windows 7 to windows 10, the vbs works perfectly because it is in this mode: https://ibb.co/1LtMyCC When I make a windows 10 build update, the driver update starts in another phase (while it is in the same place in the task sequence): https://ibb.co/Pxv59qC in this phase all the drivers do not install well! Is there a way to wait for the OS to finish booting before running the drivers. Thansk for your help (and sorry for my bad english ;-))
  2. Guys Been building Windows 10 1709 for about a year all fine... We are starting to build 1809 and all works except the TS/Naming now seems to ignore the Collection Variable 'OSDComputerName' I have both 1709 and 1809 images, both building from the same 'All Unknown Computers' collection, the 1709 works the 1809 does not. the 1809 uses a copy of the TS from 1709 with just the WIM changed. Any ideas? thanks
  3. Hey Guys / Niall - So I'm in the process of revamping our OSD build process and therefore performing a couple of new build & captures. After creating a pretty much standard task sequence (non-MDT) and having it install a couple of applications, I ran it. It performs 90% of the TS correctly as it applies the OS, installs applications, etc. When it reboots to capture, though; it fails when "Initializing Hardware Devices" - opening a command prompt shows no network adapters. I can understand not having the drivers on the boot image or for Windows, but why not at this point? It obviously has the boot image drivers or wouldn't have even allowed me to choose the TS and OS has drivers because it wouldn't have installed the applications. If I let the reboot time out, it boots in Windows mini-setup where after completing initial steps; I load Device Manager and everything's installed! SMSTS shows that it successfully completes the "Prepare OS" step but after that it's "winhttp failed" and "unknown host" So far I've tried this in Hyper-V using default & legacy NICs as well as trying on a 640 G1 - all with the same result. I've also tried using other boot images other than my default MDT x64 one with the same result. I also tried applying a Driver Package I built a while back which contains Win7x64 drivers imported from Hyper-V. The TS applies an OEM copy of Windows 7 SP1 x64 and I'm using SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 CU4. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  4. Hi Apologies if this is the wrong place for this question, I have seen/used the great PowerShell scripts for documenting my SCCM setup. but I was wondering is there anything out there similar for generating a Image build release note. i.e. all the apps installed, O/S etc etc, ideally in a nice presentable format. Thanks Rob
  5. Hello, My company has decided to create and deploy the LTSB version of Windows 10 Enterprise instead of the CB version. Within the build process, we want to have applications populate the taskbar but every time we create the OS build and capture the OS and then test the deployment, the taskbar appears to empty which means that users will need to be instructed on finding the Internet Explorer icon, Windows Explorer Icon and have to drop the MS Office icons there. I might be missing something within the build process so I'm hoping there is a simple solution to creating a more customized desktop environment for users right from the image that gets put on their PCs.
  6. Hi All, Trying to build and capture a VM machine. Created a collection, however when trying to build and capture I get the following error 0x00000037 Please can anyone help, I've checked the internet and cant find anything to help. Cheers
  7. Hi, I am trying to use "build and capture" to capture a Windows7 S1 image that I can deploy to clients. I have tried several times but I keep getting errors and when it finished the capture has not being done. I have given the Network access account local admin on the SCCM server and it is local admin all on all PCs. I have recreated the TS and done it again but I got this "The task sequence failed with error code 0x80070056. For more information please, contact your system administrator or helpdesk operator." I am attaching the smsts log. Any help what is going wrong? Thanks KKA smsts-20140312-171956.log
  8. Hi everyone, I have a problem with my build and capture sequence. The build part of the process works fine. The problem is with the capture part. Just after Configure Windows and Configuration Manager, the client reboot. I have the smsts.log file but i can't see anything very useful. Maybe someone can! smsts.log I see this message that i don't understand : Failed to open Software\Microsoft\Sms\Mobile Client\Software Distribution registry key. The client should not get checked for RWH OpLock Type I have working in an Hyper V lab : 1 DC/DNS/DHCP 1 SCCM2012 SP1 1 workstation Thank you for your help !!!!!! Matthieu
  9. In a deploy task sequance you can set the AD location of the machine to build to, can you how ever have the machine detect the location (OU) that is is currently in and build to the same place or do you have to have a different ask sequence for every AD location? Thanks
