  1. Hello All Been a many time reader of these great forums but first time asking for help. I have an issue with trying to run a task sequence. I have created a new wim through CM and originally I put down one of our servers as the save point for it. When I built the TS I selected this file as the windows image but when I ran the TS it failed at this point saying it couldn't find the file "a package referenced by the task sequence could not be found". I moved the wim to the SCCM local server as the distmgr.log said it couldn't find the file/or didn't have access rights to it. Again I got the same failure (I know it is this wim that's the problem because I swapped it for another wim in the same TS and it started loading fine). I have had a look at distmgr.log and these are, I think, the salient points: Taking package snapshot for package WS100166 from source \\whitgift-nas6\Software\SCCM 2012\Images\BaseImage.wim $$<SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER><11-13-2014 11:00:18.966+00><thread=8292 (0x2064)> Failed to find space for 15325096512 bytes. $$<SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER><11-13-2014 11:00:18.990+00><thread=8292 (0x2064)> CFileLibrary::FindAvailableLibraryPath failed; 0x8007050f $$<SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER><11-13-2014 11:00:18.991+00><thread=8292 (0x2064)> CFileLibrary::AddFile failed; 0x8007050f $$<SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER><11-13-2014 11:00:18.991+00><thread=8292 (0x2064)> CContentDefinition::AddFile failed; 0x8007050f $$<SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER><11-13-2014 11:00:18.992+00><thread=8292 (0x2064)> Failed to add the file. 2. Hello, I was wondering if any one can help me out here, been having these problems for a little while now... 1) When I try to capture images of pre built machines, I can't save them the images back to the WDS server. Every time I try to connect to the location I get this error 'The network location cannot be reached. For more information see Windows Help'. I have now tried to do this 7 times, with different machines every time but I get the same error every time... I can save the images to the HDD and copy them off and import them into WDS but this is time consuming.. 2) Once I have captured an image and have imported it into WDS how can I create the boot file so I can deploy it to other machines? I have the image01.wim file but can't see how to create an boot.wim file specific to that install images. I now have 5 or 6 images which I cant deploy because of this. Please any help would be grateful need to try and get this fixed!! Thank you
  3. Does anyone have any experience with SCCM 2012 and using it with Macs? I understand that SCCM 2012 SP1 integrated the use of Macs but having trouble finding information on it. All I see are different plugs that you can use in SCCM with Macs but SCCM 2012 SP1 is supposed to have native support for them isn't it? Thank you -Luke
  4. good day everyone. first let me start off by saying i am BY FAR not an expert at deployment or servers in general. this project was essentially dumped into my lap. im trying to get an OS deployment setup and with the help of the guides on this site i have been able to accomplish a lot. so i want to thank all the posters and the writers of the guides. im trying to upload an image but when i try it tells me that im not allowed to use a local path. ok understandable. bu i was wondering if there was a way around that. otherwise im going to have to move 30 gigs of images over to our NAS and try to access them from there. (which btw i have failed miserably at doing) i would like to access the images on the "local" drive if it is possible. if not then its back to figuring out how to access them from the NAS. any help you can provide is greatly appreciated and i apologize if there is a lack of information. like i said im VERY green in this area. thanks Mike
