  1. Hey everyone, I'm working on a way to create a more mobile OSD task sequence, and for my environment..I have it working exactly how I need it to...but I'm wanting to tweak it a bit. I need some help though. I work in education, and we have 2-3000 laptops throughout our district. I have a task sequence that runs 100% wireless from a USB stick. What I would LOVE to be able to do is the following: Step one of the task sequence : Wipe all partition data on hard drive Step two of the task sequence : Create a "xGB" sized partition that will house the entire task sequence data/packages. The rest of the task sequence will reference this drive, as well as provide all the files required for the task sequence. Step three : it lays down the rest of the task sequence just as it does now off of a USB drive, except the "USB Drive" is replaced by the partition / data listed in the second step. Thoughts? I know this is probably possible, I just do not have the proper terminology / process down. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  2. We are currently running SCCM 2012 R2 on a Windows Server 2012 environment. We deploy Windows 8.1 - 64 bits through a task sequence. Our question is, is it possible to deploy a Wireless profile through a script/package during the OSD task sequence? I've fiddled around with a script using NETSH, and manually i'm able to import / export a profile. However, this only works in the current user context. Unfortunately you cannot use 'user context' driven packages in a task sequence. Is there another method? Thanks in advance.
  3. Hi We recenlty setup 802.x wireless setup and create a new ssid, our windows user are still connected to old ssid, we want to force the setting to connect to new ssid, is it possible to connect the windows laptop to join the new ssid automatically, which we dont want the client to connect the old ssid. is this possible to achieve using GPO or SCCM 2012
  4. We are looking at deploying Windows 8 via SCCM 2012 to a load of Tablets. We are currently doing the deployments over the wired network but it would be great if we could connect to the wireless network during the OSD so the machines always connect to it when on allowing first time domain login to be done wirelessly. We used to do this using the NetSH WLan command however this is no longer supported in Win PE 4.0. Is there a way we can do this through SCCM? If we could customise the boot image to add the Wlan functionality that would be great. Sorry if this is an incredibly simple question i'm still finding my feet with SCCM I understand this would be more difficult for U/P wirless networks but at the moment we're just using MAC authentication. If the Machine can see the wireless it can connect to it. Although U/P connection ideas would be more than welcome too for future reference.
