WinPE Blue Screens on random new models

Recommended Posts

So far OSD has been going along just fine, now WinPE blue screens with an error DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL on Dells. I have

Created a new boot image with no extra drivers (did not work)

Create a new boot image with no extra drivers and no Nomad Add Ins (did not work)

Create a driver with ONLY dell WinPE drivers (worked)

Imported those dell PE drivers into our prod boot image. Now new Lenovo Models blue screen, as well as Dells still. If I leave a separate boot image only for Dell with Dell PE drivers, it works fine.

I removed the drivers from PROD and new Lenovo models boot and starts the image fine.

This is a huge PITA and something we have never had to do before. Am I missing some new details here with Win PE5? The new model lines? SCCM 2012 R2 with CU3.

Models tested are the Lenovo X250 and T450s and the new Dell Latitude E7440s. It does not seem to effect older models, but I cannot 100% confirm that yet. I saw one article that said it was because our images were captured in SCCM 2007 and need to be recaptured in SCCM 2012. I did that and it did not fix anything.
