Missing Operating System Installers Folder?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'm trying to add an unzipped ISO of a Windows 10 DVD to "Operating System Installers" but I don't seem to have this folder under Software Library > Operating Systems. Instead I have "Operating System Images" and "Operating System Upgrade Packages."

All tutorials on the net have screen caps or instructions to use "Operating System Images" but I don't seem to have it.

The end goal is to create a task sequence to PXE boot and install a Windows 10 DVD installer.

My options are identical to this http://sccmguy.com/2015/05/14/system-center-configuration-manager-2016-technical-preview/

Version = System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager SP1

I appreciate your help on this one.

Regards

Tony

In ConfigMgr 2012 R2 SP1, Operating System Installers was renamed to Operating System Upgrade Packages. They simply have the same purpose as before, just with a new name.

It was my initial thought but there's a lot of functionality missing.

1. I cannot right click the Operating system and create a task sequence.

2. There is no option to select this OS from a task sequence. I can only insert WIM images.

Thanks
