MacAgent Posted October 15, 2009 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 Hello, After several hours of searching the internet, I've still not found a clear statement :-( My Question is: Do we have to configure the "Windows Update" on SCCM clients via GPO to use the WSUS and/or(?) SUP on the SCCM SP1 Server or not? There are tons of articles in the net, but some saying Yes others No. As I found so much help in this forum already, I hope someone can help me Cheers Jack
0 tristard Posted October 15, 2009 Report post Posted October 15, 2009 My clients already went installing the updates without configuring the GPO, so just test it out and see if it does what you want.

0 Peter van der Woude Posted October 16, 2009 Report post Posted October 16, 2009 It's not needed to set a GPO for that. When you enable the Software Updates Client Component then the SCCM Client will set a LOCAL policy that points to the right direction. Besides that you can always do a RSOP to check all the used policies on a client.
