MrCsiT Posted March 9, 2016 Report post Posted March 9, 2016 Hi! I am looking for an answer for our problem: We use SCOM 2007 R2. Under Monitoring/Windows Computers, I see some old computer names, what are unavailable long time ago. So no way to start them - most case find them is not possible also - and I want to remove them from this view. The official solution for this remove problem, is go Administration menu, and delete the affected computers shown under Agent Managed or Agentless Managed submenus. My problem is, that our effected computers are not listed at all under any submenu in Administration. I was unable to find a proper answer into this problem. I had find a script a few month ago, what was able to delete the affected computers from the Monitoring/Windows Computers list, but this "solution" worked only till the restart of the Management Server. So, what SQL command or other thing should I do/run, to solve this?
AdinE Posted March 10, 2016 Report post Posted March 10, 2016 Under Administration > Agents, if the Computers are not listed there (i.e. so that you can trigger an uninstall of the Agent), then I don't think there is a lot you can do. You might have to wait for the SCOM DB grooming to kick in and clean the items out. Keep in mind that if you do modify the database, this is not supported by Microsoft: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/jonathanalmquist/2011/01/21/manually-removing-computers-by-editing-the-database/ Here's a similar article to your question: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/systemcenter/en-US/fc81793a-dec1-4f35-a331-dc106d38a689/scom-r2-agent-removed-but-stays-in-computer-field-under-monitoring?forum=operationsmanagergeneral
