Windows 10 Enterprise deployment with bitlocked computers

Question

Hey everyone!

We are in the process of getting ready for a windows 10 in-place update to our business. We have about 140 users with 8.1 and about 5 with 7. The 140 users with 8.1 all have bitlocker enabled, not through AD though. What would be the best way to deploy 10 in your opinion?

I've gone through the Windows 10 Deployment Kit from Microsoft and feel confident we can do a in-place update that keeps profiles and programs. However, the time it'll take to decrypt the drives and recrypt them is what we are affraid of, and may turn this into a manual operation.

Any ideas or suggestions, maybe how you went about this?

I would like to add, that after we do deploy 10, I would like to have BitLocker Drive Administration to add our AD/DC, to avoid this issue again.

Thanks everyone!
