Run Task Sequence based on Machine Up Time

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'm looking far a way to deploy a task sequence which will force a machine reboot, based on the time a machine has been online.

The plan is that a task sequence will be deployed to all machines and will run a reboot prompt we have created, but only if the machine up time is longer than 7 days.

Does anyone have any idea on how this can be achieved in SCCM 2012?

Thanks in advance

Build a collection based on uptime, and advertise the TS to that collection?

select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_OPERATING_SYSTEM on SMS_G_System_OPERATING_SYSTEM.ResourceID = SMS_R_System.ResourceId where DATEDIFF(DD, SMS_G_System_OPERATING_SYSTEM.LastBootUpTime, GETDATE()) > 14

that should help you to create a collection with those machines, and deploy your task sequence to that collection
