Adding Windows Update to task sequence?

Good Morning,

I am not currently utilizing WSUS, however, I was wondering if it was at all possible to utilize the same pre and post installation windows updates that are present in MDT 2013?

Hi,

Yes you can use the scripts from MDT in the Task Sequence to install updates from a WSUS server,, This post from Chris Nackers covers it..

I haven't configured WSUS yet, is there a method to manipulate the process so it'll reach out to the updates From Microsoft, similar to how when I created my reference image using mdt
