Hi Guys,

Ive been trying to deploy OneDrive application for the last few days without luck.

I have followed few guides online but something (probably with the detection Method,) is not working.

In addition to the application deployment, I need to start the OneDrive process and then associate it with the Business tenantid  : https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Deploy-the-new-OneDrive-sync-client-in-an-enterprise-environment-3f3a511c-30c6-404a-98bf-76f95c519668

So the overall procedure would be:

1.      Having suitable detection for OneDrive presence

2.      Deploying OneDrive app

3.      Start OneDrive process and associate it with the business tenant.

Does someone has any experience with it?

Appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks!

Hi,

This is  good place to start..

https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/paulodias/2016/05/24/how-to-deploy-onedrive-next-generation-sync-client-with-sccm/

associating the Onedrive client with a business tenant can be done using a Group Policy.

Regards,

Jörgen

Thanks Jorgen.
I followed this guide and others similar to it.
For some reason the script under the Detection Method is not working making the installation to fail, it looks like it has an issue to locate the information under %LocalAppdata%\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive\OneDrive Exe...

Thanks again.

i have deployed onedrive for business (17.3.7076.1026) to users without using script under detection method and it works fine for me .The below information help you http://eskonr.com/2017/12/how-to-deploy-onedrive-for-business-using-configmgr/

Install program:"OneDriveSetup.exe" /silent

Detection method:

Hive: HKCU

Key:Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\OneDriveSetup.exe

Value:Displayversion

Type:String

Operator:Equals

Value:17.3.7076.1026

Install behaviour: Install for system

Logon requirement: Only when user is logged on

Program visibility : Normal

rest of the settings are default unless you customize.

If you are deploying older or newer versions ,make changes accordingly.

Give a try this way.

I havent tried this GPO method but if you have MFA enabled ,how does this work for users when they login to onedrive for the first time.

we have ADFS on-prem (first factor )and MFA enabled (2nd factor).

we did not configure any GPO options to associate so would like to know on this which users to avoid entering their email id/user name into the onedrive prompt.
