bman Posted October 7, 2019 Report post Posted October 7, 2019 I am trying to figure out how to update remote Windows 10 users who VPN in to feature update (1809). For users located on the LAN I have a task sequence that runs and does the update but for users connecting in with the VPN over a WAN the amount of data that is required to do the update would take too long when connecting by way of VPN. Has anyone figured out the best way to solve this?
Config Mangler Posted October 9, 2019 Report post Posted October 9, 2019 You could look at using the pre-caching feature to get the content there ahead of time. Note that if they are on WiFi the upgrade might not work. Mine wouldn't authenticate after the first reboot so did not continue the TS. bman Posted October 11, 2019 Report post Posted October 11, 2019 That is a good idea but my problem is that they travel a lot and are intermittently online in hotels, etc. Actually I did notice that mine completed when on WiFi but in the SCCM reports shows a failure.
