[Qestion] Extending Schema after SCCM install?

Question

Hi there everyone.

I am fairly new to SCCM but have a decent grasp on it.

Here is a little background info on my situation: I work for a school division and we are implementing SCCM as a replacement for Ghost as we are moving to Win 7 on some machines this summer. We have some underlying AD and dns replication problems (from previous employees that are no longer here) that we are in the process of fixing.

The question I have is that we would like to have SCCM up and going within the next two months but management is nervous about extending the schema with out current replication issues. From researching through technet I have found that you can install SCCM without extending the schema but you will lose features in SCCM. Will there be any problems if the Schema is extended after SCCM is installed?

Thanks in advance :)

Shaun
