Removing Application Web Portal

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am running MECM 2010 and in preparation for the update to 2203 I have removed the Application catalog roles. I am now receiving errors:

Site Component Manager failed to install this component, because the Microsoft Installer File for this component (portlweb.msi) could not install. Refer to the SMSPortalWebSetup.log, the PortlWebMSI.log, as well as the ConfigMgr Documentation and the Microsoft Knowledge Base for further information.

Site Component Manager failed to install this component, because the Microsoft Installer File for this component (awebsvc.msi) could not install.
Refer to the SMSAWebSvcSetup.log, the AWebSvcMSI.log, as well as the ConfigMgr Documentation and the Microsoft Knowledge Base for further information.

I reviewed the log files (atached) and found that the files were missing from C:\Windows\Installer location. I copied them from the site server C:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\bin\X64 to C:\Windows\Installer. However the errors persist.

I then used the FixMissingMSI tool on GitHub - suyouquan/SQLSetupTools and discovered that the package codes don't match:

AwebSvc - Package code doesn't match. cached file has package code:{3AF1E63F-7A05-4E09-8B10-F38DC1BF0DD4}, but Installer expected:{FF23AEE5-C134-4A61-B5A5-4A7664CD00F6}

PortalWeb - Package code doesn't match. cached file has package code:{09A440E8-8F4A-45EB-BE45-9E8A92B5710B}, but Installer expected:{5146852C-133A-4A04-90EA-205EAD11D5FF}

It seems that the files in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\bin\X64 are different to the originals and I'm not sure how to resolve this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Shaun
