upgrade win xp/vista to windows 7 enterprise with SCCM 2007 without formating drive

Question

Y'ello Gurus,

I have successfully deployed windows 7 to clients using SCCM 2007 SP2/R2 but the challenge has been capturing user data scattered all around the drives and preventing data loss.

I need to create a task sequence that will just upgrade the operating system (Xp/vista) keeping the user data intact without formating the hard drive.

The need to backup user data over the network and challenges of USMT has been a major constraint to the deployment of Windows 7 enterprise wide.

I would apprecaite any assistance to get around this obstacle.

Please feel free to buzz me on thamola@gmail.com, thamola@yahoo.com.

Regards,

Ade.
