anyweb 478 Posted September 28, 2006 Report post Posted September 28, 2006 hi guys help me out, design a new site logo ! i needs to be 225x68 pixels and a GIF so get gimping/photoshopping/paintshop-proing ! here's the default GIF to use as a template cheers anyweb
hybrid 10 Posted September 28, 2006 Report post Posted September 28, 2006 This isn't very good as it hasn't got a picture yet (couldn't take the official Windows logo, because it's both illegal and it isn't available in a transparent version). So this is just text so it's not very good. However, I've also attached a template with just the background gradient to make it easier for others to build logos . movEDX 0 Posted February 4, 2008 Report post Posted February 4, 2008 Here's my entry into the "compo" The height is 68 pixels, not 65 as the IPB header background image at the top is 68px in height.

hybrid 10 Posted October 20, 2010 Report post Posted October 20, 2010 I know this is really old, but I noticed you're still on the default IPB favicon at the moment. I made this favicon pretty quickly, based on the header image design I did back when this site moved to IPB 3. Feel free to use it on the site! windows_noob_favicon.ico windows_noob_white_favicon.ico
anyweb 478 Posted October 22, 2010 Report post Posted October 22, 2010 those ones just don't grab me like the one you did for linux-noob.com how about basing one off of the logo used for the windows-noob.com twitter account ?
hybrid 10 Posted November 21, 2010 Report post Posted November 21, 2010 Could maybe do with some more work, but a new 'orb' design: windows_noob_orb_favicon.ico
anyweb 478 Posted November 21, 2010 Report post Posted November 21, 2010 i like it, and would love it if it had a white or similar 'halo' effect, i've tried copying it to the forums root but it's not showing up, feel free to move/copy the file yourself Peter ! cheers niall

(difficult to see the halo against the background below, but it works well in the browser). Caching of the old favicon may be an issue -- seeing if I can get the new one to show up! windows_noob_orb_favicon_withhalo.ico
anyweb 478 Posted November 22, 2010 Report post Posted November 22, 2010 seems the ico shows up correctly at http://www.windows-noob.com but as that re-directs to http://www.windows-noob.com/forums then the favico changes back to the standard one... even though i copied it to both places
hybrid 10 Posted November 22, 2010 Report post Posted November 22, 2010 It started showing up correctly for me after clearing my cache, quitting the browser and then re-opening it. It now works for me -- so eventually it should show up everywhere.
