is the site RPC using https or http ?

set to use http and https if pki cert found/available

I have 100 systems in my test environment, all the same build windows 7's and server 2008 r2's

33 of them have the site code populated ok and client activity "Active"

Hey, in my topology, I have the following:

1 primary site system

5 site systems with distribution point role installed, and boundaries and boundary groups defined.

This primary site is connected to all the other sites with a slow connection, and all packages replicated from the primary site to the other sites (including the CCM client packages that come along with the installation)

I enabled site-wide client installation, and while I could see that the clients were being installed to the computers, I opened the ccmsetup.log in one of the computers in one of the remote sites and discovered that all the clients are being downloaded from my primary site, killing the connection between the primary site and remote site. How can I make sure that the remote clients install the client from the remote site that corresponds to its boundary?

Thanks

hello to all and thanks for the great guides anyweb! i too would like some clarification with the following step; here. I know we created the \\sccm\sources directory earlier for WSUS but I was wondering am I suppose to copy anything into this directory? Like the client install files or just leave it as is? Sorry for the noob question but truly appreciate any assistance/clarification with this.

On my Windows 7 32 bit workstation I am able to access the Software Center window. However, when I try to access the "Find additional applications from the Application Catalog" It opens in a new window and provides the following error message. Cannot connect to the application server. The website cannot communicate with the server. This might be a temporary problem. Try again later to see if the problem has been corrected. If this problem continues, contact your help desk.

Any ideas on what I may have misconfigured? Thanks in advance for any help that is provided.

Anyone any ideas on how to get the App Catalog working on server 2012.......It seems to me that asp.net4.0 is installed by default with the server2012 default installation......

I have a test enviornment with SCCM 2012 SP1 beta, server 2012 and sql 2012......when i try to browse to the app catalog from the software center I get the 404-forbidden error(which I knew I would as asp.net4.0 was installed already before iis was configured).....

I have tried the aspnet_regiis.net -i -enable but all I get is this:

iis.PNG

I have run this command on server 2k8R2 before successfully and then the clients where able to browse to the app catalog.

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks

This is now solved after following the steps in this post:

http://www.iis.net/learn/get-started/whats-new-in-iis-8/iis-80-using-aspnet-35-and-aspnet-45

Had to also install .Net 3.5 features aswell as the 4.5 features, after doing this the app catalog is accessible.
