how can i determine which version of SCCM 2007 is installed

Recommended Posts

well the first two windows are whats important, the last one is merely your version of windows server MMC,

so, in the first screenshot it looks like the SCCM console is reporting as SP1, so whatever computer you are on verify that the CONSOLE is upgraded to SP2

Is there a way to determine what version of R3 is installed (Beta/RTM/RTM Eval)?

System Center Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) 2007 RTM 4.00.5931.0000

System Center Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) 2007 SP1 SP1 4.00.6221.1000

System Center Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) 2007 SP1 (Updated with KB977203)SP1 4.00.6221.1193 This update (KB 977203) may be run against SP1 or SP2 clients.

System Center Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) 2007 R2 R2 no change The R2 feature add-on requires at least SP1, and can be installed after SP2.

System Center Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) 2007 SP2 SP2 4.00.6487.2000

System Center Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) 2007 SP2(Updated with KB977203) SP2 4.00.6487.2111 This update (KB 977203) may be run against SP1 or SP2 clients.

System Center Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr) 2007 R3 R3 4.00.6487.2157 The R3 update requires SP2 Client.

I have installed the latest version of R3 but my client version number is still 4.00.6487.2125.

I had the beta of R3 installed previously. I removed it and upgraded to the RTM but my client version will not increment.

Hi

I have just installed SCCM 2007 successfully i think :) and when i try to install Forefront Endpoint protection 2010 using the following media "en_forefront_endpoint_protection_2010_x86_x64_dvd_612261" in the preprequisites check I get the following message:

Error: Setup has detected that the version of the Configuration Manager installed on this computer does not meet the prerequisite requirements. Upgrade the Configuration Manager installation to Configuration Manager 2007 Release 2 Service Pack 2.

Looking at the site properties for the version I have the following:

Type: Primary

Version: 4.00.6487.2000

R2 Installed: No

Build No: 6487

The media I used to install SCCM 2007 was "en_system_center_configuration_manager_2007_with_sp2_x86_dvd_447809"

Any ideas?

Regards

David
