OS Deployments failing to run content can't be located 0x80040102

Recommended Posts

I've been having an issue in config manager 2012 deploying a operating system installer. I'm able to get the machine to boot into WINPE, but once a select the task seqence it gives a error about the content isn't available. The package it's referring to is the boot image I thought that was a little weird. Any help would be great

Have you configured the boundaries?

I had the same problem and solved it by adding a distribution point to the boundary group. (Administration -> Distribution Points -> YOUR DP -> Properties -> Boundary Groups). It must look like this

I've configured the site boundaries. I haven't configured boundary groups or assigned any boundary groups to the DP; I think this is probably whats causing my issue.

Did you mean to attach a screen shot?

Thanks

Boundaries have no function if they're not put in a boundary group. Clients do not know where to look for content.
