Installing Test Root Certificate during Build and Capture Ref XP Image

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'm using SCCM 2007 to deploy XP Pro x86. I have built and captured an XP gold image (using hyper-v vm client and SCCM 2007) as discussed on this site. I would like install a test root certificate in the cert store before capturing the image so that I can install test-signed drivers during XP boot. Does anyone know how this can be done?

Many thanks!

Yes, here is an example including syntax on how to import an Certifate during OSD: http://ccmexec.com/2011/06/system-center-updates-publisher-and-osd/

Note that for Windows XP you need to download Certuilt.exe and supporting binaries from the Windows 2003 Resource Kit Tools.

You can read more and find it here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934576
