using System Center 2012 Configuration Manager - Part 7. Build and Capture Windows 7 X64 SP1

Recommended Posts

Hi anyweb,

Yes I am booting my noteboot in the same network area and it the network as my Configuration Manager PXE enabled distribution point.

My step for that are:

1) in the bios I put the boot option on "Network LAN"

2) booting the notebook , I see this dos message

With MAC ADDR 8C:73:6E:08:76:57 GUID ####################. But I see while the booting notebook a other GUID number as in sccm2012. I am goging to "Asset and Compliance"-->Devices-->choose my notebook---properties--General, here I see a different GUID number. Is it the the problem?

after much head scratching it dawned on me that having SP1 in my test lab might be confusing the issue. Sure enough, the OSD has changed slightly 'by design'

Looking forward to some SP1 guides :D

there are SP1 guides already if you look here (look at the Windows 8 posts, UEFI, pre-provision BitLocker and more), but for this series of guides I will stick with the RTM release until SP1 is released to manufacturing.

I happend nothing. If I got smspxe.log file , I see there two points:

1) Set media certificate in transport

2) Set authenticator in trasnport

Hi Anyweb,

1) "Deploy this boot image from the PXE service point" on both boot images

2) "Make available to boot media and PXE,

I dont know what do you mean with that "did you enable it on the DP" Where can I do that?

I did hit F8 and check smsts.log and ipconfig.By typing ipconfig, it display "Windows IP Configuration"

In the smsts.log I see follow Error message:

Failed to download pxe variable file. Code(0x00000001)

PxeGetPxeData failed with 0x80004005

Is it a driver problem or what?

How can I add a new WINPE driver for NIC?
