SCCM 2012 PXE Problem: Pending request ... Unknow Computers after deletion of object in SCCM

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I have a strange problem:

1. I have staged one computer as "Unknown".

2. After staging was completed i deleted the entry in SCCM from devise node

3. Try to restage this computer as "unknown"

I always received Pending request id bla bla bla

I have no "Unknown" entry in SCCM so i can't re-delete this one and no clear last pxe request possible.

I have tried to make a clear last pxe on the unknow computers collections, but no luck.

How can i stage this computer ? as i can't see this one anywhere anymore.

What actions should i do ?

PS:

Try the registry key HKLM\software\microsoft\sms\DP

regdword: "CacheExpire"=120

Restart WDS -> no luck

Restart Server -> no luck

Thanks in advance, i have a big headake now

Is it that you have deleted the unknown computer objects(x86 & x64) from the unknown collection??

OR

Have you just deleted a previous successful OSD system account from SCCM and are now trying to redeploy to it as unknown?

OK I am not sure by what you mean now........

1. I have staged one computer as "Unknown".

2. After staging was completed i deleted the entry in SCCM from devise node

3. Try to restage this computer as "unknown"

Just delete the previous successful OSD system account from SCCM and indead now trying to redeploy to it as unknown

so the 1st successful attempt was by deploying the OSD deployment to a known computer collection with your system in it??

Then

Now you are trying to PXE boot this system as an unknown computer once you have deployed the TS to the unknown Computer Collection and also deleted the account from the all systems collection in the SCCM console??

If this is the sequence you have taken......then have you configured your PXE/DP for unknown computer support??

Try the registry key HKLM\software\microsoft\sms\DP

regdword: "CacheExpire"=120

Have you actually changed this registry key?? Personally I feel this is fine to do in a LAB environment but I would not change this or mess about with the likes of it in a production environment.... a simple restart of the WDS on the DP will flush the cache out if you need a hasty deployment after a failed one or a second attempt.

Yes, unknow computer is configured in PXE

Yes I have try the reg key, but no luck -> deleted (i am in production ....)

But, the first time the computer has been staged was in unknown

then became known after successfull osd.

Delete this computer from SCCM then became again as unknow (normaly).

And it's now the problem, apparently this computer is no more unknown (from PXE or SCCM) but i can't find any trace about this one. (also deleted from AD)

Restart wds -> no luck

Restart SCCM Server -> no luck

I always receive Pending request ....
