SCCM MP Issues

Recommended Posts

My MP is having intermittent problems and don't know if its causing the issue with clients not approving, here is one of the issues on MP role. SCCM is in MIX mode with 10 DP's, if anyone can help it would be appreciated

MP Control Manager detected DMP is not responding to HTTP requests. The http error is 12002.

Possible cause: DMP service is not started or not responding on all DMP physical machines.

Solution: Manually restart the SMS Agent Host service on the DMP.

Possible cause: IIS service is not responding.

Solution: Manually restart the W3SVC service on the MP.

For more information, refer to Microsoft Knowledge Base article 838891.

are you absolutely sure you've configured IIS with webdav correctly ? have you verified those settings and verified that IIS is actually running?

in your site status are the MP control manager errors the only ones that are showing or are there more

Anyweb thanks for the quick response, yes I have installed IIS with BITS, webDEV, ASP .NET and its running. In site status there are other errors like

SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER

SMS Client Configuration Manager (CCM) failed to complete the SMS installation on client "BERG0125". In the past 168 hours, CCM has made 175 unsuccessful attempts. The operating system reported error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

Possible cause: The client is not accessible.

Solution: Verify that the client is connected to the network and that the SMS Service account or (if specified) the SMS Client Remote Installation account have the required privileges, as specified in the SMS documentation.

SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT

SMS SRS web service is not running on SRS Reporting point server "CPSCCM01".

SMS_STATE_MIGRATION_POINT

SMP Control Manager detected SMP is not responding to HTTP requests. The http status code and text is 500, Internal Server Error.

Possible cause: Internet Information Services (IIS) isn't configured to listen on the ports over which SMS is configured to communicate.

Solution: Verify that the designated Web Site is configured to use the same ports which SMS is configured to use.

Possible cause: The designated Web Site is disabled in IIS.

Solution: Verify that the designated Web Site is enabled, and functioning properly.

Possible cause: The SMS ISAPI Application Identity does not have the requisite logon privileges.

Solution: Verify that the account that the SMS ISAPI is configured to run under has not been denied batch logon rights through group policy.

For more information, refer to Microsoft Knowledge Base.

I have uninstalled IIS, MP and Reporting Roles rebooted the server and installed IIS, MP and Reporting roles.
