Network boot to restore images

Question

Hi,

I've read articles from this (great) forum but I wasn't able to know if what I envision is possible.

Today, I'm using several computers where Windows OSes have been installed once and images were done (i.e. every computer has its own Windows Xp to Win8 WIM image stored locally).

To restore an image, I usually boot from a CD using WinPE and I start ImageX, that works fine.

What I would like to do is to remove the CD and boot from a PXE server.

I have installed a WDS on a Server2003 machine, I can boot and deploy an OS but I wasn't able to make a (valid) boot/install image to replace my good old WinPE CD.

Is there any simple way to make it?

Thanks,

Jean
