SCCM 2012 with MSSQL 2008 R2 problem

Recommended Posts

Hallo,

I am trying to install Configuration Manager 2012 (X17-95285).

Product Description from Volume Licensing: Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager makes it easier for IT to empower users to be productive with a unified infrastructure that delivers and manages rich user experiences across corporate and consumer devices. This license includes use rights to Virtual Machine Manager and SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard.

I have Microsoft SQL server 2008 R2 on cluster installed.

More information:

Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Edition (64-bit)

Version: 10.50.1600.1

Microsoft tells that Server 2008 R2 supported (http://technet.micro...nfigSQLDBconfig)

During the this SCCM installation I got the message(Attached)

post-11423-0-08208600-1349360962_thumb.png

Please help me to understand this error? is it bad license or SCCM 2012 installer? Or my MSSQL Server is bad version?

Thank you in advance

The above error comes up if a proper service pack or cumulative update is not installed along with SQL server.

My Suggestion would be, use SQL server 2008 std edition + sql 2008 service pack2 + Cumulative update 7.
