Software Distribution Schedule

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We have a package that requires distribution on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. I am at a loss here as I cannot create a custom schedule for the days mentioned. The problem is that SCCM only provides for "days", in other words you can schedule the distribution for every third day or so, but not specific days.

Any ideas would be MOST appreciated.

Under the "Custom schedule", "recurrence pattern" of the package properties you'll only find the following: None, weekly, Monthly and Custom Interval. If you chose custom interval the only option available is "recur every x days". The problem here is that I only want to distribute Monday, Wednesday, Friday....? Any ideas?

Yes but you can have 3 seperate advertisements for that package 1 on a Monday to occurr every week at a specific time, 1 on a wedensday to occurr every week at a specific time and the other of Friday with same settings..

You can create as many advertisements as you need.....I have a package I deploy every day at 5pm, 5:45pm 10:00pm 10:45pm and each Friday it deploys at 1:00pm along with the other settings!!

EDIT: also make sure to select to always rerun program in the schedule settings!

For clarity. This package only needs to be "updated" on the DP's on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. There are no advertisements involved.... From what I gather in your post, I must create three packages and set them to update the DP's accordingly?
