missing computers from all collections after PXE build.

Recommended Posts

I have done search and have not found this on any other topic... so if it is - I apologize.

I have SCCM 2007 SP2 Running on Server 2008 R2 - after deploying OS with PXE task sequence - and having SCCM install client during task, I have 2 computers that are not showing up in ANY collections.

I have searched for MAC in reports, tried to add computer to a new collection by MAC - no avail. Computers have clients installed, and have forced reports and even rebuild of components. Even rebuilt one using task sequence from PXE. Computers just don't exist in console under any collection.

I have turned off AD discovery, confirmed that subnet is in scope, have confirmed OU is discoverable, turned back on AD Discovery and run it immediately.

This is a known tried and tested build that have built 100's of computers with and now last two are not showing up in console.

input?

Are the clients showing that they are assigned to a site? It sounds like they client is getting installed, but they are failing to perform site assignment, which results in a DDR not getting created, which means that they won't show up as objects in the console.

Thanks for the reply Trevor, one of my cochums rebooted the server and now all are populating.

they SHOULD have been member of site, based off of OU and subnet that are defined in site, but they were not showing up at all - with or without site code.
