Software Updates not installing automatic

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody,

i have a problem with automatic software update installation on SCCM2012. The clients find the updates which are in a deployment and show them in the Web frontend on the Client Computers but they were not automatically installed when the deadline is reached.

When the user starts the installation manually over the web frontend it works.

Does anyone have an idea, what's going wrong.

I have build an update package with all updates, also i have build an software update list for Windows 7, and for the monthly patchdays i have build separate lists, wich i deployed on all windows 7 computers.

I think it couldn't be a big mistake cause the manual installation is working and the clients download the patches in their cache.

Thank you very much for your reply. There is no update on this, but a few days ago i installed a SCCM 2012 at a client of our company and there it is working fine. I made everything like at this installation. At the moment i think that it is the virus scanner. Perhaps anyone here has a good idea. I tried the cumulative update for SCCM 2012 because there are a client update in, but nothing changes. The updates are there in the cache folder and i can start them over the web frontend on the machines but if i define a deadline nothing happens.

Hello everybody,

sorry for the late answer, had many problems with some primary sites in the last weeks.

The problem is solved and it was the setting wich aibish wrote, this setting is very bad to understand.

I made the same mistake and set it to true, after setting false everything works fine.

Thank you all very much.
