Recommended Posts

Hi All

Please can some one confirm if the below image is correct when you type in the URL for a DP/MP for SCCM 2012 - I am trying to do a OSD but my smsts.log is saying the below:

CLibSMSMessageWinHttpTransport::Send: URL: vmwdev23SCCM.nuffield.ukhealth.com:80 GET /SMS_MP/.sms_aut?MPLOCATION&ir=169.254.131.230&ip=169.254.0.0 TSMBootstrap 16/10/2012 16:58:13 1036 (0x040C)

Error. Received 0x80072ee7 from WinHttpSendRequest. TSMBootstrap 16/10/2012 16:58:13 1036 (0x040C)

unknown host (gethostbyname failed) TSMBootstrap 16/10/2012 16:58:14 1036 (0x040C)

hr, HRESULT=80072ee7 (e:\nts_sccm_release\sms\framework\osdmessaging\libsmsmessaging.cpp,8738) TSMBootstrap 16/10/2012 16:58:14 1036 (0x040C)

When i go onto my DP Server and type in the URL i get the IIS screen - is this correct or should i see the file available?

thanks.

At what stage do you get this error....does it perform any of the TS i:e .....if PXE booting does it pull down the boot.wim and load in the TS and then format&partition and then bomb out with this error or before this?

EDIT:

Just seen this from your other post

i have added the Vm Nic drivers as new OS is on VMware platform and this has worked fine.

Is it that it is not working on a particular physical model of system??? Also from my takings so far I feel that You should not need to inject any drivers into the standard boot.wim in order to get a VM to boot,... the standard boot.wim with the install of SCCM should be able to this without this procedure.(well this is for HyperV maybe VMWARE is different...not sure)

It is possible that you may have not injected the correct drivers into the wim file for this particular physical model you are getting this error on?

Hi Rocket Man

Yes possibly it could be i have not in putted the correct drivers for a particular model. I will have a look for this online and see what i can do.

I have an issue where if you notice from the below smsts.log i could connect to the DP. So not sure why majority of the time i cant connect and on rare occasions i can.

CLibSMSMessageWinHttpTransport::Send: URL: vmwdev23SCCM.nuffield.ukhealth.com:80 GET /SMS_MP/.sms_aut?MPKEYINFORMATION TSMBootstrap 10/17/2012 1:09:22 PM 1228 (0x04CC)
