SCCM 2012 SP: BGB http proxy Error 25001. 80070057

Question

Hi,

I'm experimenting on SCCM 2012 SP using a fresh install in a Server 2012 / SQL 2012 SP1.

Prereq were green.

Install passed with no Errors.

but after some configuration:

- SMS_NOTIFICATION_SERVER became red: Could not install bgbisapi.msi

Part of bgbisapiMSI.log is as follows:

Action ended 17:15:29: InstallFinalize. Return value 3.

- the http://localhost/CMApplicationCatalogSvc/ApplicationOfferService.svc is working

- the http://localhost/CMApplicationCatalog Fails with 401.1

Has anybody ended up with this - or better found a solution?

Thanks

apart from the fact that SQL Server 2012 SP1 is not supported, disable any antivirus software you have and try and the installation again.

Sql 2012 SP1 is not a supported version (well it was not a week a go anyway!)

Sorry, but this page says is is supported: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/library/jj628198.aspx

And, no antivirus installed so far.

and screenshot.

as regards the bgb error try running this command

lodctr /r

followed by a reboot and then retry.

OK, will try this command first - and then - convinced - rollback using SQL 2012 w/o SP1

OK, will try this command first - and then - convinced - rollback using SQL 2012 w/o SP1

Finally I got the time - started from scratch (SQL2012CU2) - and succeeded in the end!

Hint: We have a seperate WSUS Server running. the the install of the admin console only can be done using PowerShell on Server2012:

(as ADMIN): Install-WindowsFeature -name UpdateServices-UI

This causes no Postinstall Activity and SCCM is satisfied.

Another hint: the prereq checker is not checking the complete requirements:

For the CMApplicationCatalog(Svc) ASP.NET and WCF are required.

Thanks for help out of that block

Fixed my issue after a call to Microsoft. Management point was failing to install and additionally had the "Could not install bgbisapi.msi" issue but fixing the Management Point install sorted the bgbisapi issue.

If you have a similar issue on Server 2012 this may help you - seems a bizarre fix as it was a newly built server but did the job :-)

1. Uninstall the MP role from the console. Wait for the uninstallation to finish in MPSETUP.log

2. Delete CCM name instance from WMI.
a. Open Wbemtest and connect to root
b. Click enum classes and choose "recursive" then click okay
c. Under Query Result go to _NAMESPACE and double click it.
d. Hit the "Instances" button on the right hand side.
e. Then highlight the _NAMESPACE.name="ccm" value and click delete to remove it.
3. Try to install MP once again.
