Task Sequence run collection?

Question

Hi

I'd like to be able to pull up a report/collection based on whether a certain task sequence has run/completed on a machine. I need to see how many machines are being built through SCCM and weed out our "Ghosters"

Is there any sort of residual file or registry setting that I can reference to create a collection for that?

Hi,

I normally use something like this to tatoo the registry during OSD, http://ccmexec.com/2012/08/script-to-tattoo-the-client-registry-during-osd/.

If you are using MDT there is also a builitn step in MDT that tattoos the registry, http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/cnackers/archive/2009/12/04/microsoft-deployment-toolkit-tattoo-information.aspx

Regards,
Jörgen

Thanks Jorgen

That's exactly what I was looking for. My sticking point was in how to extend the HW inventory, but I managed to figure it out. It does seem to take a while before the HW inventory pulls the data into the DB though. I've not seen it pop in yet.
