Boot problem after trying to capture VM image

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I read about how creating images in a VM is best practice, so I figured I'd go ahead and give it a shot.

I created a VM using Windows Virtual PC and when I was all done updating (which took awhile - last Win7 32 bit image was from early 2012), loading programs, etc. I stuck in my "Capture Media" USB (in the host machine, the VM can recognize it) and started the process. Everything was as normal up until the reboot. It turns out I used the x64 bit capture media (my VM image is Win7 32bit).

Now whenever the VM starts up it just says "Loading files..." and then goes to the "Windows failed to start." page.

Status: 0xc000035a

Info: This 64-bit application couldn't load ebcause your PC doesn't have a 64-bit processor..."

Is there a way to fix this? It would be great if I didn't have to start over with this image.

Thanks!
