Hi Guys, We are currently in a situation where we would like to upgrade to SCCM from 1606 to 1702, the problem however is that we are currently running on SQL 2008 R2 and Server 2008 R2. I know we need to upgrade the SQL database and Server OS before we can do the upgrade, and we plan on going to 2012 R2, my questions are as follows: 1. Which would be best to upgrade first SQL database or Server OS? 2. Has anyone got any experience with the server in-place upgrade, as this would be the option we would like to run? Thanks in advance

Hi All, We are currently having some issues with the default SCCM reports. The problem is, that when running a report, for example Computers with a Specific Product, the report runs but returns multiple entries for the same machine. So one machine could have Adobe Reader listed twice with 2 versions, when infact it only has the latest version installed, it seems the reports are including historical information. Is there a way in which this historical info can be removed or cleaned up, is it some settings I'm missing? Thanks in advance for the help

I managed to get our Surface Pros to build by adding the drivers for the USB network adapter you are using to the driver package for the surface pro... This sounds like the issue we had, and I'm suspecting that the reason the machine hangs is because the network adapter on the USB is incorrect once the package has applied, or simply missing. We used the Dell Display Link (mainly because we had them lying around in the office), but adding the drivers for the display link worked. Or if you are getting as far as the image deploying then you will have the correct drivers already in place on your boot image, you could just ensure that the drivers applied to the boot image are added to the Surface Pro package. Good Luck, If it helps good, if you ain't using a USB dongle then this was a waste of time

Hi Guys, I'm having an issue trying to deploy Windows 10 to a Hyper V VM, deployment starts as normal but fails when applying the OS with the Error: Installation of image 1 in package P0100744 failed to complete.. Insufficient quota to complete the requested service. (Error: 800705AD; Source: Windows) This only happens on Hyper V, any other machine works fine. The VM has 1GB RAM and 40GB hdd

Afternoon All, I'm having a problem with the updated driver pack for a latitude E5440, the problem is as follows: Booting the machine and selecting the task sequence works fine, so I know I have the correct network drivers applied to my boot image. The problem is during my OSD I have WMI query in place to apply the driver package (Downloaded from Dells website). after a while the machine times out and the task sequence fails. Booting up the machine to see what has gone wrong reveals that the drivers have not applied, mainly the both network drivers (Wifi and LAN) and the display driver, if i copy the drivers from the driver package to a usb and select to update manually from the usb the drivers install fine without issue. I have tried redoing the driver package, changing the OSD to auto apply drivers, but nothing is working so far. Changing the OSD to install the out of date older drivers works fine. I hope someone can point me in the right direction as its doing my head in now! Thanks

Hi All, I'm looking far a way to deploy a task sequence which will force a machine reboot, based on the time a machine has been online. The plan is that a task sequence will be deployed to all machines and will run a reboot prompt we have created, but only if the machine up time is longer than 7 days. Does anyone have any idea on how this can be achieved in SCCM 2012? Thanks in advance

Hi All, I've used this forum many times in the past and found all the answers I've needed, but I have some questions regarding 1511 and 1602 of SCCM, which hopefully you can help with. At present our organisation has around 3000 machines which have been built and maintained via SCCM 2012 R2 SP1. All machines are Windows 7, with a couple of Windows 10 machines that I have built for testing purposes. I began this role of looking after SCCM without any training and so my knowledge is not as great as i would like it to be. The questions I have and granted some of these may sound stupid (so please dont laugh) are as follows: 1. We run SCCM on server 2008 R2 which I would like to get to 2012 R2 using in place upgrade, I believe this is possible after 1602 update? 2. As this will probably be completed weeks/months after upgrading to 1511, is there any warnings about upgrading to 1511, I read something about the client failing? 3. And this one is daft but this is the first upgrade I will be doing, so we currently build Windows 7 machines using SCCM, this works fine and we very rarely have issues, I'm assuming that upgrading to Current branch or 1511 means that deploying windows 7 is still the same? 4. Any recommendations for the upgrade would be super also, as this would probably be weekend work, would it be beneficial to just upgrade to 1511 and then upgrade again straight away? Thanks
