Hi Guys, i am very much confused on agent installation. I have configured the collection point as per Anyweb post http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/2881-scom-2007-agent-distribtion-discovery/page__hl__scom__fromsearch__1 But do we still need to configure Auto Agent Assignment. Please see the screen shot SCOM 1.jpg. Currently I havent created any Auto Agent Assignment. With the collection point created above, we dont need to create LDAP queries as this would be taken care of by sccm. Also I have updated the AD integration with the MOMAdmin.exe. I still cant see the agent coming up in the console. Any ideas. This is driving me crazy.

Hi Anyweb, If we deploy the agent with the switch, do we still need to configure Auto Agent Assignment with the LDAP query. I understand SCCM collection point will take care of the servers which we want to deploy to?? Am I correct

Thanks. That sounds great. But we dont want to roll it out to Windows 7 or other workstation. Only servers. I guess in the query we will have to add the operating system as well. I will wait your query.

Guys, What is the best of installing or deploying SCOM agent in managed servers? Also is there a polling option in scom where if any new server is deployed (without SCOM agent), the agent is pushed automatically?

Thanks for the reply. Please see the screen shot of my TS step. I have done different methods of running the script but all fail with the same error. I have tired cmd.exe /c "cscript.exe script name" cscript scriptname. I know this should work but I am making a mistake somewhere. Also attached is the TS xml. TS_Microsoft.xml

Hi Guys, I have a issue with running scripts with runas option. We have few custom scripts which needs to run while OSD TS under domain user account to do various function like moving computer object to different OU. If i run the scrip with "Run this step as the following account", the script fails with an error " Incorrect function ". I am not using MDT as the script is not part of MDT.
