  1. I'm struggling to resolve an issue with wds. On the client I receive the following: WdsClient: An error occured while communicating with the Windows Deployment Services server. Please check to ensure that the server is operational and that the necessary ports are open on the server's firewall. Server name [*.*.com], Server IP Address [192.168.100.20]. Checking the event viewer within the server I can see the following: - System - Provider [ Name] WDSIMGSRV - EventID 261 [ Qualifiers] 49414 Level 2 Task 1 Keywords 0x80000000000000 - TimeCreated [ SystemTime] 2012-07-09T16:49:00.000000000Z EventRecordID 109420 Channel Application Computer *.*.com Security - EventData 192.168.100.126 0x3 - <Event xmlns="http://schemas.micro...08/events/event"> - <System> <Provider Name="WDSIMGSRV" /> <EventID Qualifiers="49414">261</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>1</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2012-07-09T16:49:00.000000000Z" /> <EventRecordID>109420</EventRecordID> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>*.*.com</Computer> <Security /> </System> - <EventData> <Data>192.168.100.126</Data> <Data>0x3</Data> </EventData> </Event> I've changed the server name due to local security policy. I've tried to use the wdsutil to reinitialize the services. I've checked the registry for a corrupt key according to Microsoft's http://technet.micro...687dbfc894.aspx page. I've followed every step the letter in regards to this problem and I'm still having an issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
