Remote Control troubleshooting

Recommended Posts

Using SCCM 21012 RC2 - I am having issues remote controlling my physical Windows XP Machines. The issue is probably something to do with security on our corporate build, but I dont know where to troubleshoot? There doesn't seem to be any logs dedicated to remote control in 2012.

The issue I get is after the session tries to initiate a security handshake, I get a messgae box; "A remote control session could not be established with the remote computer"

I am able to remote control Windows 7 PC's and also XP VMs on my network.

Any assistance would be apreciated.

I have found the client log for Remote Control in SCCM 2012 - %WINDIR%\CCM\Logs\CmRcService.log

The log files show the following errors when trying to remote control the client...

<![LOG[A connector error has occurred. (OnConnectorError).

An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. (Error: 80072746; Source: Windows)]LOG]!><time="16:23:11.449-60" date="04-23-2012" component="CmRcService" context="" type="3" thread="1496" file="cmrcservice.cpp:665">

<![LOG[session error = 0x80072746. (OnSessionError)]LOG]!><time="16:23:11.449-60" date="04-23-2012" component="CmRcService" context="" type="3" thread="1496" file="cmrcservice.cpp:443">

<![LOG[The connection has been terminated (ID = 4294967295). (OnConnectionTerminated)]LOG]!><time="16:23:11.449-60" date="04-23-2012" component="CmRcService" context="" type="1" thread="1496" file="cmrcservice.cpp:587">

Any help would be apreciated!
