SCCM 2012 - need advice

Recommended Posts

Hi!

2012 is finally out!

I am currently using 2007 all thanks to the help of the guides I followed here.

I want to start using 2012 but I have a few questions ...

I'd rather create another virtual machine to set it up from scratch and then when it's working well, dump the old 2007, is that easy to do ? Will 2007 interfere?

I could upgrade from 2007 to 2012 on the same machine but there are small bugs that make me want to start from scratch.

Please give me some advice on this ...

Also, to anyweb, who posts all those wonderful guides, will you soon create a guide for 2012 RTM ?

Can I still use the guides that are already provided here with the beta and RC versions or should I wait ?

thanks for the advice ...

I would suggest to go with New Virtual machine but again if you need to explore how to upgrade from SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012 (No inplace,Only Side by Side)

have a Fresh VM with SCCM 2012 and other side, you can do upgrade part from sccm 2007.

You can follow the posts available for SCCM 2012 RC2. I just done the installation of SCCM 2012 RTW,there is no changes to the installation majarily compared to RC2.

I believe you can, very few things changed since RC2, so anyweb's guides are still valid.
