Offline Media Editing for Windows 7 Deployment from SCCM

Question

Hi,

I am deploying Win 7 operating system, customized with Drivers and Softwares, The installation is going fine, the size of the Image is close to 15GB and i am using a 32 GB USB pendrive for installation. Everytime i have to modify anything on the Task sequence i will have to recreate the image and again copy it from the servers in DC, this takes almost a day.

Is there any way i can edit the Task sequence within the Media created earlier so that it can save a lot of time.

Thanks for response.

Conincidently I just made a post about this on windows 7 subsection. You just need to copy over all the files in sms folder that have changed. You don't need to redownload the wim file every time. if you update the boot image i would still recommend updating the task sequence files after making a 8.5gb offline task sequence boot media. What I did was just update all the files on the media apart from the package files that have not changed. Remember to update package files if they change as well.
