SO your questions solved the problem, if I disable validation It works. This will work for me since we do not so USMT in anyway, however I wonder what the issue is.

I use MDT 2013, 6.2.5019.0

The validation is nothing more than an empty text file I write to the C:\Windows during the prestage TS using NUL>c:\windows\prestaged.txt

No luck for me, seems like the TS is not picking DeploymentType=refresh. When I force it to refresh

I am looking for a REFRESH solution, not PXE 0r F8, I know how to do those. BTW, if you do PXE than you can automate by adding the command to your WinPE for the specific task sequence

I am looking to deploy the TS to running XP machines protected by PGP, bypass the boot guard which we already do and delete disk 0 all together.

I am told it is possible, but cannot get around it.

Can anyone suggest a way to test the image last modify date, prior of deploying it? I would like to make sure that the image selected in the task sequence is not older than 60 days, and if it is, stop the task sequence from even starting.

I would like the test to be available in both MDT 2010 and SCCM deployment scenarios.
