  1. Hi Guys, Has anyone had any success installing the config client that resides on the secondary site? I've enabled the auto. client push and it still doesn't install. Even a manual push from the secondary site (with the primary site code) from the console doesn't work. But a manual push from the primary site works straight away. Also, does a DC need to be on the same network as the secondary site server? Thanks in advance.
  2. I have been playing around with RC2 lately, and noticed something annoying or it's the first time I've seen it. First of all, I've advertised an OSD TS (Bare metals) to the Unknown computers collection. I initially had problems with the TS, but it has been resolved now. However, when I was troubleshooting my TS that stopped mid way, I had to delete the "Unknown" computer record from Devices before PXE could pick it up again. Is this normal? I recall I never saw this record called "Unknown" beforehand when I was playing with Beta 2. Thanks in advance.
  3. I installed an additional DP on another server (sccm 2012 beta2) which resides on a different network address (branch office). Everything works, including PXE. However multicast fails when opening up a multicast session during osd, giving a 80091007 error. I have removed the os image package from the DP and recreated it as suggested in the forums, so it gets a new sig. The main office does not have this problem. Attached is the log. Thanks in advance smsts.log
  4. Multicasting doesn't seem to be working after following the SCCM 2007 for multicasting. It's enabled on the dp, and the OS image. One thing i noticed is when I enable "Transfer this package only via multicast", I am unable to see the PXE boot menu. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  5. Guys, If I needed to reimage a machine that had bitlocker enabled, do I also need to wipe the system reserved partition? Does it keep any sensitive data?
  6. First of all, Merry Christmas everyone. I know it's a bit sad to post something today, but this has been bugging me for the past 3 days. Wife not too happy. I've created a OSD that uses a sysprep file for bare metals machines. It works perfectly fine. I have another OSD that does a image refresh, but for some reason, it does not like the sysprep file. The sysprep file is the same for the bare metals. Is there something I am missing? And get an error "Failed to copy C:\_SMSTaskSequence\Packages\P0100014\sysprep4_x64.xml to c:\windows\panther\unattend\unattend.xml (80070002)". At the command prompt, I can copy the files manually with no problems. So I don't think it is a access issue. Also, the image uses 1 partition, so no system reserved partition. And as soon as I remove sysprep file from the Apply OS task, it runs perfectly fine, but of course without the settings I want. I swear I've been pulling my hair out. If anyone can shed some light, I will be very greatful. Let me know if you need to see the logs. Cheers,
  7. Guys, The Install Software Updates Action Hangs during OSD. It finishes downloading, but doesn't see to install. Attached is a screenshot. Is there something I have missed? As suggested from the forums, you must advertise the windows 7 updates to the unknown computers collection, which I have done. Note: The screen below has been stuck there for 2 hours
  8. Guys, Is there a easy way of injecting the drivers for SCCM just if you were using pure MDT 2010, where you can use the variables %make%, and %model%? Thanks in advance.
  9. Hey Guys, First of all, I would like to know if the WDS service startup is on manual or automatic? Now, after enabling multicast on the server, I noticed a few things... the WDS service had stopped (so I couldn't do a PXE boot), and noticed the startup was on manual. And I could not put an image down if I enabled "Transfer this package only via multicast" on the Distribution Setting tab of the OS image. And now when I came in this morning... the WDS service startup had changed to automatic. Has anyone experienced this problem? Thanks in advance.
  10. Try using a sysprep file, and add it as a package. You'll need to add the local admin password in this file as well because you will need to remove the Apply Windows Settings on the TS. On the Apply OS section, enable this package. I am testing it now as we speak. Let you know how I go.
  11. Thanks for your reply. Yes, I am using pure sccm 2012 RC. I got it going... needed to put the vb script as a package.
  12. Hi Guys, I've been playing around with sccm 2012 for a week now, and I cannot get my machines to rename to the serial numbers. I have tried all the different vb script on this site to no avail. If anyone can shed some light, it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Cheers,
