I need to make the SMSCACHESIZE larger due to large software installations such as adobe creative suite. I have tried adding the option smscachesize=10240 to make it 10gb but when i check the cache size after deployment it is still 5120. i have tried editing the program and putting the switch at the end of the ccmsetup.exe and also in the installation options in the Task Sequence but both do not work any help would be great. how do you do this please as i have done another deployment to the device collection that is Required and it just sits there until i reboot then it runs the TS

once i have deployed a machine using sccm and it appears in the assets list is it possible to deploy the operating system without visiting the machine and pressing F12. i have tried to deploy the task seq to the machine but it just sits there and does nothing, it will do it however when it reboots but can i not get it to start while user is logged on and just notify them? If so any help would be appricated Thanks Phil

after i have built an unkown computer it shows as unkown in the devices tab will this ever change and show the computer name or is there something i need to do? Thanks Phil

is there a way to deploy a task sequence or software installation to a singe machine rather than a whole collection. for example If you wanted to deploy the "New Win 7 Device" Task Sequence to a machine to rebuild it you have to assign it to a collection but you only want the one machine rebuilding not the entire collection?
