  1. I am trying to install updates via SCCM 2007 server and once I deploy updates they never show up on the client side. Attached are the client side logs, I have taken a look at them and I am not sure where the issue is. UpdatesDeployment.log UpdatesHandler.log WindowsUpdate.log WUAHandler.log
  2. I am installing SCCM 2012 for the first time and keep getting a error when the install tries to attach to the instance. I have enabled named piping and configured the tcp port for 1433, as well as given myself admin rights and enabled remote connections to the instance. The firewall is also turned off on both servers. Below is the error I am getting, thanks for any help. *** [08001][11004][Microsoft] TCP Provider: The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found.~~ $$<Configuration Manager Setup><09-21-2012 12:25:35.487+240><thread=2924 (0xB6C)>ERROR: SQL Server error: [08001][11004][Microsoft][sql Server Native Client 10.0]TCP Provider: The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found.~~ $$<Configuration Manager Setup><09-21-2012 12:25:35.487+240><thread=2924 (0xB6C)> *** [HYT00][0][Microsoft][sql Server Native Client 10.0]Login timeout expired $$<Configuration Manager Setup><09-21-2012 12:25:35.487+240><thread=2924 (0xB6C)> ERROR: SQL Server error: [HYT00][0][Microsoft][sql Server Native Client 10.0]Login timeout expired $$<Configuration Manager Setup><09-21-2012 12:25:35.487+240><thread=2924 (0xB6C)> *** [08001][11004][Microsoft][sql Server Native Client 10.0]A network-related or instance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server.
