Remote SQL Server

jsmith posted a topic in Configuration Manager 2012

I currently have another SQL server that is secured that does other things and I want to integrate this remote SQL server for reporting in SCCM. The SCCM is in http mode. I was told by MS that since the SQL is secure, SCCM has to be in https. Is it possible to just use https in the communications the to the SQL Server? I don't need https for Apps or Imaging.
